FAQs

What goes into producing a great video?

Of course we’re here to make the entire process as painless, efficient, enjoyable, and most importantly, as successful as possible. But film making is both an art form and a highly skilled craft that takes years to master and involves many different stages, people and tens of thousands of pounds worth of equipment in order to produce that award winning production or viral video that you’ve been looking for…

PRE-PRODUCTION PLANNING STAGE

Here we develop and translate an idea, objective or brief into Moodboards, Scripts, Storyboards, Shot Lists, Work Schedules & Production Budgets.

Next, filming locations are scouted, film permits/permissions are obtained, models, actors & extras are cast and crew booked, with Kit Lists, Logistical Plans and Call Sheets all drawn up to ensure all the right people are in the right place at the right time with everything they require to achieve the Director’s creative vision.

PRODUCTION STAGE

Now a crew of highly skilled and talented individuals including Producers, Directors, Cinematographers, Camera Operators, Drone Pilots, Sound Recordists, Lighting Specialists, Production Runners, AV Technicians, Grips, Riggers, Drivers, Art Directors, Set Designers, Prop Makers, Make-up Artists, Wardrobe, Caterers, Models, Actors, Extras and Presenters all work in harmony to make that magic happen!

POST-PRODUCTION STAGE

Once all the required footage and audio have been captured, it is delivered to the Edit Suite where it is cut and assembled by our Video Editors using powerful Edit Stations for maximum processing power coupled with the latest fully licensed suite of Adobe Creative Cloud software. Any Virtual FX, Motion Graphics and Animations are designed, generated and added, then the edit is Colour Graded to achieve the right feel, tone and mood. Music is then licensed and the video is officially handed over to the client for approval.

How much should I invest in video production?

‘Investment’ is the operative word in the above sentence. Our Power of Video page will provide you with all the facts and figures that you’ll need to reassure you that investing in video is not just the future, but the here & now! The fact that you’re already considering a video solution is a step in the right direction…

The reality is, every project is unique with its own set of objectives and requiring a different set of resources. That’s why we take a bespoke approach to every potential new project. Our Rates & T&Cs page will provide you with an indication of our daily rates, but our aim is to always produce you the highest quality piece of video content we can within your timescales and budget. But please remember the old adage of ‘you only get what you pay for!’ By not allocating enough time and budget to a production, you will not be doing your creative vision justice.

Our main advice is be open, honest and realistic with your aims, budget and deadlines, plus think ahead, leaving ample time for creative juices to flow, careful planning to be done, epic footage to be captured and edits to be finely polished.
